The film mainly focused on a common flower girl, who was transformed to speak properly, to be a fair lady like a duchess and to realize her personal significance by the English linguistics Professor, Henry Higgins, who was brilliant but conceited. The heroine of the film, Eliza Doolittle, was really an unrefined flower seller and always needed to sell flowers to support her family in the corner, even in the cold winter. She was born in a poor family with a strong Cockney accent, Electronics factory goods Wholesale and she spoke in a very impolite and vulgar way. However, in England, an Englishman’s way of speaking absolutely classifies him. At the beginning, I was deeply attracted by the common flower girl in rags and with her strong accent, lady gaga the fame monster but her life was full of freedom, happiness, and dream. The song“wouldn’t it be loverly” made a deep impression on me. All she wants was a room somewhere, which was far away from the cold night air, with one enormous chair, lots of chocolates to eat, lots of coal making lots of heat, warm face, beats dr.dre warm hands, warm feet. It seemed that her demands were quite easy to meet by the rich, even by the middle-class people, but she was so poor that she couldn’t afford them. Therefore, a warm house was a luxury for the poor, including Eliza, to say nothing of realizing her personal significance. At the best, she was a flower seller. I must say that, Eliza was very fortunate to come across with Henry Higgins when she took shelter from rain. To some extent, Eliza’s sweet voice drew attention from Henry Higgins. In Professor Higgins’ opinion, the one who can not speak properly, he or she has no right to be anywhere and no right to live, just as he said to Eliza in the film. However, Higgins was fond of simple phonetics, the science of speech. He made a bet with his friends, Colonel Pickering, that he could pass Eliza off as a duchess at an Embassy Ball in six months, or he could get her a job as a lady’s maid or a shop assistant which requires better English. As far as I am concerned, it was wise for Eliza to catch the chance to beg Professor Higgins to teach her correct pronunciation. Of course, she was crazy about being a duchess. Through several months of training, including basic pronunciation, vowels, her common mistakes of eliminating the pronunciation of ‘h’ of almost every word, and duchess-like behaviors and qualities, Eliza was taken to take part in the Ascot and the Embassy Ball at last. Firstly, in the Ascot, Freddy fell in love with Eliza at the first sight of her. The most interesting thing for me was that Freddy behaved in totally different manners on Eliza, from ignoring and neglecting the common flower girl to admiring and falling in love with the elegant gentlewoman. Secondly, I was glad to see that Eliza was the most charming miss at the Embassy Ball so that The Prince invited her to dance with him. In addition, Henry and Eliza had become accustomed to each other through several months’ together, and they really had great effects on each other’s life. discount tiffany On one hand, Henry enlightened Eliza on realizing her own value and stimulated her potential advantage. On the other hand, Eliza changed Henry’s idea about life and love, especially his understandings about woman. Naturally and unconsciously, they fell in love with each other. As a woman, Eliza realized her personal value and received people’s respect at that moment. However, when Eliza came back home with Henry and Pickering, Henry Higgins just thanked the God and said that was over. They neglected Eliza totally and ignored what she was thinking about. She just poured her tears heavily. To tell the truth, I really do not like the British class system that was just classified by their ways of speaking language and their notion of language, which was reflected from this film. I think it was quite hypocritical and unaffected. Nevertheless, Eliza had become confident in almost everything ever since she experienced being a duchess at the Embassy Hall, just as she said in the film, “I don't care how you treat me. I don't mind your swearing at me. I shouldn't mind a black eye. I've had one before this. But I won't be passed over! The difference between a lady and a flower girl isn't how she behaves, slendertone system but how she is treated. I'll always be a flower girl to Professor Higgins, because he always treats me as a flower girl and always will. I'll always be a lady to Colonel Pickering, because he always treats me as a lady and always will.” In a sense, the hypocritical and unaffected class system may makes you can not get well along with those sophisticated ladies or gentlemen, just as Professor Higgins that he regarded the common people and the upper class as the same, so he was unpopular in the formal occasions, such as what he behaved to the ladies in Ascot. However, it gave an opportunity for Eliza to increase her confidence. The surprising thing for me was that Eliza told to Henry that she could teach others what he had taught her. In my opinion, no matter who we are or where we are, there is no reason for us to envy, but there are reasons for us to move forward. Everyone needs to be aware of where he belongs to. Last but not least, my favorite character is Alfred P. Doolittle in the film, although he didn’t the leading actor in the story. In the film , he played a lot, among them, the words,“Ten pounds is a lot of money, makes a man feel prudent-like and then goodbye to happiness,” P90xmade deep impression on me. In my opinion, he was satisfied with his poor but free life. There is nothing better than that, isn’t it? It is no doubt that Alfred is a hedonist, and he regarded being a middle-class moralist, which was referred by Henry, as the deepest cut of all because he had to live for others but not for himself. From the beginning to the end, nike air max 24/7 Alfred was full of sense of humor. It is no doubt that the role he played adds lots of vivid and humorous colors in the film. In conclusion, the film is quite a relaxing and comfortable musical play, and from the beginning to the end, I feel it is really enjoyable and unforgettable.
